Feature Request: settings for case insensitive history searc

Post by lex »

I wonder if it would be possible to introduce user setting to toggle case insensitive history search? (I do have only laptop keyboard, so I mapped many action to capital letters, which causing me troubles with searching items in history. Yes, I can hit caps lock, type capital letter and hit caps lock again, but that's not very smooth...)

methinks he means a main window buffer search. Vadi put up a script that does a case sensative search of the main buffer, you can download that and modify it to be case insensitive. Although this might be a cool feature, so long as it doesn't cause too much trouble or clutter anything up.

Sorry that I wasn't clear enough. I meant following: allow setting to enable/disable command completion (arrow up) based on case insensitive search.

For example: I will send 'Escape Storm' command to mud. Currently nothing is found when I will type 'e' and press 'arrow up'. With enabled case insensitive command completion I would do same (type 'e' and press 'arrow up') and Mudlet would find 'Escape Storm'.

Hope that is clear now.

Sounds like a good idea.

Yeah, I second this. It's an issue every once in a while for me too.
