Achaea Fancy GUI 1.0

Post by Vadi »

Based on Heiko's tech demo, here is the 1.0 version of the Achaea Fancy GUI.

Image Image

Download zip, and import the zip entirely as a Mudlet package.

To make the map be on the right side, edit the achaea gui settings script and make it say left_map = false. Click save, and it'll move over.

If you're using the Mudlet Mapper, make the settings say show_map = false for it not to display the in-game map.

Note for upgrading: before upgrading, delete the Achaea package trigger group, graphical user interface script group and the Achaea Fancy GUI alias group.

Changelog:
- 1.0: new SCORE support, package-ified the GUI
- 0.7: fixed accidental overwriting of string utilities
- 0.6: map works with Vadi Mapper, map won't eat text anymore and bars will work
- 0.5: tracks when you move manually, shows up/down, can move map to the left side
- 0.4: now works on windows
- 0.3: how works with multi-line exits and displays up/down in/out exits

All of the graphics work for me and seem to be updating properly. One issue that I'm having is that they overlap the left side of the screen. Also, at timed intervals, it is sending the grin command to the mud.

The old package didnt automatically adjust the borders. You can do this manually in preferences border settings.

Importing packages shouldn't delete anything. Something on your system seems to be really broken. What's your operating system and Mudlet version?

The good news, you can roll back your profile to older profile versions to get back your lost aliases via the profile history in the connection dialog.

I set the path to where I saved the folder (gfx_path = "C:\Program Files\Mudlet\AchaeaFancyGUI-0.3\gfx";) but it still doesn't want to show.

Maybe the 0.3 is causing problems on windows? Try renaming it to AchaeaFancyGui03 and change the path accordingly.

Same problem. How exactly am I supposed to be importing the xml file? Through the profile selection window or inside the profile itself?
