I recently installed Mudlet 2.1 on Linux Mint Debian Edition. Ever since I upgraded I get the following error the first time I try and connect to the mud. "Illegal name, try another.". If I input the character name again then I can log in. This also happens for one other user who is using Mudlet. If I telnet into the mud I do not get that error. Any idea on how I can fix this so this no longer occurs?
Thanks
"Illegal name, try another" when trying to log in

It is a problem with GMCP. I'm sure someone has the fix around here, but I can't remember what it is right the moment.
