stopping the mapper

Hi, i'm very new to all this and I was happily laying away when all of a sudden the mapper started working, now every time i move rooms i get miles of text and numbers as the mapper automatically starts mapping. How do I turn this off? i'm not technical enough to use a mapper and now its just plain annoying!

I believe the alias: mc will disable mapping mode.

If you want to get rid of the mapper completely, you can just open the package manager and uninstall it.
