Add new lines above previous ones instead of below

Hello,
Normally, when lines of text are added to a window, they are below the previous line, starting at the top and working to the bottom. Once at the bottom, new lines are added at the bottom and all previous lines are pushed up.
I would like to do the opposite. Have lines added at the bottom, then subsequent lines added above the previous line. When the text reaches the top of the window, I want a new lines to be inserted at the top and all previous lines pushed down.
Any ideas?
