xp64 -- help?

Post by Yen »

Hey all,

I'm trying to run Mudlet on Windows XP 64-bit ... but what I get is "fails to initialize properly."

From the forums I gather it's a known issue but I can't figure out what I need to do to get it working ... help please?

Thanks!!

tried running it under admin? right click->run as administrator.

Might not help, but worth a try.

Can you try the latest 2.0-rc6-pre1 for Windows? http://sourceforge.net/projects/mudlet/ ... e/download

Hmm--tried 2.0-rc6-pre1. First I got this:
This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I managed to find the DLL by installing the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)." But now I'm back to the square one again, with
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002).
:?

The problem is that some dll is referenced by either the application or one of the dlls that are shipped with Mudlet that are missing on your system. To fix this problem you can use a program to check all dependencies: http://www.dependencywalker.com/ Check mudlet.exe and all dlls in the installation directory of mudlet as well as in the subfolder luasql.

I have the same error message when installing 2.0-rc6-pre1

I used the dependency program suggested. The dll file MSVCR100.dll is called by yajl.dll

I also appear to be missing IESHIMS.DLL but this does not appear to be stopping mudlet from starting in 2.0-rc5

Is there a fix for this or am I stuck on rc5?

Mudlet 2.0 test appears to run without a problem. Thank you!
