possible to fire triggers on echos?

Post by Alaran »

Is it possible to echo in a way that would make triggers fire?

The cleansing necklace in Aetolia looks like this when it fires:

The bones in your left arm mend.
You feel your necklace drawing venom from your body.

In TF I just had a trigger on the necklace line that would set the variables and run the previous line through my triggers again. I'm at a loss on how to do something similar in Mudlet. Of course I could always have my cureline triggers active -all- the time but I'd like to avoid that to be honest. :/

So yeah.. is there any way I could trigger this without having to have my cureline triggers -always- active? :/

Yes, you have access to any line of the buffer from Lua - so when you see that line, you can grab the previous ones, and do some comparisons in a script (string.find).
