Background and miniwindow fonts

Post by Serris »

This may seem odd for some, but on MUSH I used a background image for the output that is the same one used on the Nexus client. It made everything softer, or easier to read without straining your eyes and I suppose I got used to it as well. Solid colors don't work the same.

So my question is... is there any way to put a background image on the output?

Now my second question is about miniwindows. The font is pretty bad, it doesn't anti-alias and I've found no way of changing it. Particularly on the mapwindow that comes with Vadis Fancy Gui for Achaea. It would look and read better with fixedsys. Any option now or in the future to edit the font or at least anti-alias miniwindows?

I have noticed that reguardless of font specified on a label/window it uses the default font...
(i was not always this way.... I like to use 'impact' a web safe font that is NOT monospaced in order to fit as much as possible on a label)

You can use whatever font you like in labels, but miniconsoles will always use the same font that the user has chosen as font for the main display. You can only vary the font size.

Labels, however, can use whatever font you specify via html as long as this font is available (and this can be the tricky part ...).
