[fixed] Scrolling Bug

Post by tsuujin »

I've encountered an extremely irritating bug with Mudlet recently that occurs while attempting to scroll through the main window.

Basically, at random times while scrolling, or while simply having the screen split from scrolling, the top window will scroll to the absolute top of the buffer. This occurs so frequently that attempting to scroll back text is essentially impossible.

Yes, known. Happens when you have a lot of incoming text.

I'm not aware of this bug and I can't reproduce it myself in my quick tests. I need to have more information on how to reproduce this, a video etc..

@Tsujin:
What version of Mudlet are you using, by the way? The latest git version is hopelessly outdated. So if you are using this, please verify your problem with the latest windows build (Mudlet-1.2.0-pre).
Git will get updated in the next couple of days as 1.2.0 is close now. Got most of the stuff done now.

I'm actually using vadi's gmcp patch. As to the windows build: I've no windows system to test with (Linux only).

Well, then this issue is most likely due to the outdated source code. Vadi: What version are you using for your build?

For the record, same thing happens to me.

Version: Mudlet 1.1.0 built: March 8, 2010
OS: Windows XP MCE

Description: I scroll up, some new text comes in, next scroll up or down gets screwed up.

Thoughts?
