Here's an idea - instead of refreshing a trigger when you click on an already selected trigger (ie - two single-clicks on a trigger to update its icon...) refresh all visible (by visible I mean ones that are not in collapsed groups) triggers, and aliases as well, when you click anywhere inside the list view. The performance 'loss' shouldn't be much since you won't be messing a ton with the script editor while doing important things, yet this certainly will help relieve situations of having to click on umpteen triggers to see their real states.
