Feature Request: key for closing scroll split screen

Post by lex » Thu May 20, 2010 9:26 pm

It would be great if you can introduce new shortcut to close scroll split screen e.g. when you see old buffer in the top of the screen and current buffer in bottom.
This simple feature will surely improve user experience, because it's very unfriendly when you have to scroll down 10 pages just to close scroll split.

Thanks

This feature is already in. control + return closes the split screen.

clicking my trackwheel also closes it, though that might not be intentional. I like it, though.

It would be nice if we could change the hotkey for this, or maybe add new ones. Functions to control the split screen could be nice too. Using macroing software, I can define my own hotkeys as I please regardless of what client, but users shouldn't have to do that if it can be avoided.

On another note, my middle wheel button is loopy as hell, and isn't consistent for closing the split screen. I think it has more than one button in the middle. One is to the front, the other is to the back. The problem is, the front one is a pain to use and that one is the one that happens to close it. Or, middle wheel is just broken and doesn't work right.
