Keying trigger from output including *

Hi,
I have what I think is a fairly simple question. I am trying to script a trigger using a bit of output that has an asterisk in it. I will need to recognize the output as a RegExp and I think that the * is messing that up. Can anyone suggest a way to inform the script engine to ignore the * in the output trigger? Thanks!
