Why i can't uprage mudlet by aplication center

I gave it a go but with the new dependency on Qt 5.6, all of the builds have failed. I tried to fix it but ran out of time. As a workaround, download the Linux version from http://www.mudlet.org/download - it'll work.

Update: spent many hours on this, got 17+ to work but not 14.04 or 16.04. I'm off travelling for several weeks now so your best bet will be to use the download from the website for now - it'll work just the same, just can't autoupdate in that nice way.

Seems not updated in pacman -- and the one in pacman has a broken link!

I did email the person who does the arch linux mudlet packages so hopefully they'll have a chance to update it!

I'm the current maintainer of Mudlet package in AUR, it has been updated to 3.1.0 release.
In future, please use the AUR page for Mudlet (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mudlet/) to flag the package out of date when it needs an update, as that's the easiest way to not make me miss an email, and I'll see about it ASAP, thank you.

I've installed/used 3.1 for a week now, and I do see some very helpful changes with it. In particular, the onscreen display of lua errors (realtime when they occur!) is incredibly helpful. I can also make good use of the sysInstall events now included.

I hope to be able to look at the mudlet source itself again soon.
