Q to notebook users.

Post by Newbe »

Hello.
Are there any mudlet users using notebook without numeric keypad(or what it is called)?
I don't have it and find it hard to move around in muds. I have to type n/s/w/e and it isn't comfortable for me. I thought it could use ctrl + some keys, but then I would have to find 9 keys near each other that won't be in collision with build-in hotkeys... any ideas?

I'm one, but I just use those shortcut keys.

You can also buy an external keypad with USB connection. They are pretty cheap, and I find them useful for a multitude of applications.

I move with both NSEW and by holding down my Fn key and using the little ghetto numpad.

I guess I'm oldschool. When using a desktop, I only use the keypad numbers for macros, for buffs and such. I never use them to move around. So, when using my Macbook it's no trouble, because I just use NESW anyway. It's just a habit, I guess...
