where can i find the saved map?
i'm wondering if its possible to edit the map outside mudlet.

and how do i delete a map in mudlet ? i started one but it turned messy and i better restart it.
is that possible without creating a new profile ?

You can't edit the map outside mudlet, but you can delete it by first closing Mudlet, finding the ~/.config/mudlet/profiles/<your profile>/map folder and deleting it. ~ is your home folder.

You're looking in the wrong places then. Post a screenshot.

You sure you went into the right profile folder?

Having the map in a non binary format would slow down startup incredibly - especially for LP style maps as they have much more rooms than regular maps.

Maps are saved as snapshots like profiles i.e. you can roll back to an older version of the map if you made any significant errors. The map files are in the folder map in the profile directory. If it's not there the map hasn't been saved which happens when you exit Mudlet and save your profile (clicking the save profile button does not save the map).

Some way to directly edit the map contents would be useful however, for when you're sharing maps and want to merge things here and there.

:ugeek: For the record, I am necro-posting to point out that this is now possible with the JSON map file format functions: as that format is human and computer readable...
