Guide to using GMCP

Hey all! I'm back! (ish) After a long break due to working and school, I have returned to the wonderful place that is Mudlet! Thankfully, as I have seen, Mudlet has continued to evolve into the best client ever! Good job, everyone!! Now, one new evolution that I have stumbled across is GMCP, which w...

Problems With New Scripts In Mantis

Hey there, everyone. I apologize for not being vocal about Mantis' development for a while. I recently got an internship over the summer, and I've been really busy with that, so I haven't had too much time to update the downloads of Mantis. That will change soon, though, since I HAVE been hard at wo...

Re: Hi there. So let me get this straight.

Well, the benefit of Mudlet being open source is that people can submit their own revisions to the code however they please. I know that it's been brought up into the past having an interface like what you're saying now, though I think it's general thought that the scripting interface is good now. A...

Re: Hi there. So let me get this straight.

As far as I know, all of those separate views in the scripting editor will remain the same. In my opinion, having the Trigger, Alias, Script, etc... windows separated makes organizing much easier. Being able to see all of my, and only my, Triggers in one place keeps everything together and organized...

Re: Executing a Function when it's a Value in a Table

SWEET! Thank you, Denarii, for your help! @Knute: Sorry for not responding to your final part of the post. Looking back, it is silly to post the code for the "eat herb" function, and then posting an example of the "apply herb" function. However, it was merely to give an example o...

Re: Executing a Function when it's a Value in a Table

Copying things to the local scope only helps if you're going to be referencing them more than once. I don't always just copy things into the local scope for speed, but also for readability. To a novice (which Mantis targets as a user base, because I've designed Mantis to be customizable to the larg...

Executing a Function when it's a Value in a Table

This is probably a very simple question, and I'm just not thinking logically, but I have a quick question about executing a function if it's a value in a table. I'm reworking Mantis a bit, and making the cures into specific functions. These functions will only fire if certain conditions are met. Her...
