Re: searchRoomExact() ?

Mm no, someone added it to the documentation by accident whereas the function really came from another script - https://wiki.mudlet.org/w/IRE_mapping_script#mmp.searchRoomExact. That said this is an obvious signal that such a function is desired ;) Could you help take the function from the script he...

Re: special characters garbling mud output?

Here's the spec for MXP: http://www.zuggsoft.com/zmud/mxp.htm that should answer the activation question.

Re: special characters garbling mud output?

It does need to be enabled from the game. Launching Mudlet from the command line would get you some debug output - how you do that depends on your OS, which one are you running?

Re: special characters garbling mud output?

Hi,

The issue would be due to improper use of MXP... double-check that you have everything correct in there. Within an MXP sequence, < means the start of a a tag.

Re: Windows "Installer"

It is an installer, yeah! It should create a shortcut on the desktop and in the install menu for you.

Re: Main Display is all black but one column of text

Sorry about that - this can happen on Linux when the main window font gets reset to "Noko emoji". Please go to Settings, main tab, and set a different font.

Re: Mudlet features and API requests

Yep - we take documentation seriously as that's a great way for players to learn about the client. It's mentioned in release notes https://www.mudlet.org/2021/03/4-11-smoother-mapper/ as well.

Ideally the suggestions stay for the duration of the whole run - that's something we'll improve on.

Re: Mudlet features and API requests

Hi!

Yes, it's still relevant.

1) We'll consider this - would like to know if more people find this useful.

2) Agree, highly desired.

3) Possible as of the latest update to Mudlet: https://wiki.mudlet.org/w/Manual:Lua_Fu ... Suggestion

4) We'll consider it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Re: Cross Profile Communication - CPC

I haven't tried it out, but this could be due to the use of expandAlias - I understand it's a bad habit from other clients. Try `cpc:handleCommand("big", "(profile A/B) put water in bag")` instead.

Re: Linux Oddities

Hi, 1) This will now work in 4.11.1 for you. 2) I can't say I have the same experience, been using Linux for over a decade and alt+left click does not move the window. Maybe it's a KDE thing? Mudlet is developed primarily on Linux - judging from the main contributors - and alt+drag is a setup that w...
