bug: event handlers #2

I created a whole bunch of event scripts, and then went to add their handlers. 1. Create 3 event scripts, only giving the first one a handler. 2. Select the second script, give it a handler (i.e. type in the event name and press enter.) 3. Select the handler for either of these first two, causing th...

Re: alias problem ^wc(.+)?$

I figure the capture group will match the space.
But I did try these two alternate patterns as well. None work and i don't see why not.

Code: Select all

  ^wc\s?(.+)?$
 ^wc(?:\s)?(.+)?$

alias problem ^wc(.+)?$

Alias pattern: ^wc(.+)?$ Script: if matches[2] == nil then send( "clan 2 who" ) else send( "clan 2 tell " .. matches[2] ) end I tried the above with "" instead of nil, and also with matches[1] just in case aliases are different to triggers. The alias just won't fire. I...

stripping out the prompt

I'd really like to strip out my prompt and display it at the bottom, perhaps in a larger font than usual. Zugg is apparently working on adding that as a feature to CMUD (which got me to thinking about it as a possibility), but I remember the early screenshots of Mudlet. That is probably already poss...

Re: possible bug with events

Thanks! While on the topic though, the reason I made that test event handler function to begin with, was to see which one of the two would fire first, and if there is some way for me to designate that. For example, if I have my onEqbal event, with three event handler functions: onEqbal_stand onEqbal...

possible bug with events

I got my event working, or at least the first stage of it. Script name: onEqbal_stand Registered event handers: onEqbal function onEqbal_stand( onEqbal ) if string.find( pstats, "p" ) >= 1 then send( "stand" ) end end This is working well. It makes me stand whenever I need to and...

Re: event help

Thanks for the replies. I was so close in the end, I just hadn't thought to press 'Enter' to commit the event handler to the list of handlers after typing it in.

Re: lua function fg broken? (or just me getting it wrong?)

One more question, are there features mentioned in the manual that are not yet implemented? I just read the following quoted passage from the manual, but can't see such a trigger option anywhere in the script editor. Beginners should use Mudlet’s automated colorizer triggers in the beginning to get ...
