Sorry about this - a fix is available in Public Test Builds (https://make.mudlet.org/snapshots/?plat ... source=ptb), and it'll be fixed in the 4.11 release this weekend.

Hey! Good question. Modules in Lua are really just tables in the global table. Since you're an experienced software dev, I'll drop down into the low level details. Everything is actually in a global table named `_G`. So when you do `target = "bob"`, you can actually access it as `_G.target...

Yeah, agreed. We don't build such functions anymore - it's a mistake from the early versions. That said we have made proper equivalents for some that are this way, for example https://wiki.mudlet.org/w/Manual:Lua_Fu ... ExitStubs1 - so we could do it with getAreaRooms as well.

Yeah, unfortunately it starts indexing from 0 which is legal, but not the norm in Lua. That is OK at the end of the day.

It could be that you're using the generic mapper, which needs to be updated to add support for it - is that the case for you?
