Helping with development

What's the best way to help with mudlet development? For instance if:
  • 1. I have a small bugfix of just a few lines of code.
    2. I want to add some new functionality to mudlet.
    3. I want to discuss some part that may need a change.

Re: Removing vanilla profiles

Hehe, yeah, it's not really time-effective to make a setup for compiling mudlet from source just to save some screenspace when selecting the mud in the list - but it could be worth doing it just for fun if you like tweaking stuff though. :)

Re: Stacked movement (for a lack of a better term?)

make an alias with the pattern ^\.(.*)$ that runs the code speedwalk(matches[2]) It is not exactly the same .ne will try to go northeast once, instead of north, east, so in your case, instead of writing .20n3ws you have to separate the direction by space or commas: .20n 3w s If you need a delay betwe...

Re: Removing vanilla profiles

From what I could see the profiles are hardcoded and are added to the list before any of your profiles are loaded into the list. I don't know it there is an easy way to change that behaviour. If you can compile mudlet from source, you can stop some or all of the default muds from appearing by editin...

Re: script, alias? trigger??? named exits

Ok, I think I have an idea of what to do but I need some more direction. I guess that's my question, where/how/with what command do I store the (\w\+), And then the trigger activates the function by just having the words function() on the clipboard below? Some basics: -- IN TRIGGER To store the con...

Re: Console border handler with percentages

Ok, so shortly after submitting this I came up with an alternate solution that merges better with Geyser, which was the reason I wanted to do this in the first place: Resizing main console using Geyser

Resizing main console using Geyser

After I wrote my Console border handler with percentages I realised there was a simpler solution I could use, especially since I was using Geyser for all my other ui elements. Why not just create a geyser container as a place holder for the main console, and resize the borders to match that one when...

Console border handler with percentages

I made a script to handle the borders sizes when changing window size, I hope someone will find it useful. It handles the border sizes given both in percent, like "25%" or in pixels, either as number 123 or "123". It can not deal with fractions of percentages yet. A negative number or percentage set...

Command queue with delays

Inspired by Jor'Mox sendQueue, I decided to make my own commandqueue system, together with an alias "q" to make it easy to run from the command line. function commandQueue(...) if(type(arg[1]) == "table" and #arg[1] > 0) then local v = table.remove(arg[1], 1) local next = function() commandQueue(arg...

Wiki spambots

The modlet wiki has been troubled by spambots since 14 September. I noted that the main page had been changed, and created an account to fix it but I didn't realize the extent of the modifications done at the time. 14 days log of changes done user creation log I informed Vadi in a PM, but I figured ...
