Re: Achaea Runewarden runelore script + alias

Here is what I put together so far. Obviously the ink colors are wrong, and there is potential room for improvement. This would work with an alias using this pattern: ^r (\w+)(?: ([gtrmw]))?(?:| (\w+))$ And this code: writeRune(matches[2], matches[3], matches[4]) local runes = {ke = "kena", fe = "fe...

Re: Achaea Runewarden runelore script + alias

So, in your example of usage, you don't have anything with ink color, but you mention it, and have it in your script... is there some specific ink color for each rune, or do you have to choose the ink you want to use each time?

Re: Variable Timer?

Sure, you just need to convert the string captured into a number, and use a tempTimer.

Re: Looking for a mapper to Ishar

I have a newer version of the generic mapping script that I think will be helpful for you. It is still being tested, but I connected to Ishtar and ensured that it would work there, with very minor setup on your part. First, you need to download this file, and install it as a package within your Mudl...

Re: Mapper Menu Add-Ons Script

Well, I can't speak to what should or shouldn't work with whatever version of lua, but I can say definitively that the code as written works in the most recent version of Mudlet, and that general setup has worked for every version of Mudlet I have used, since 2.1. So, yes, I'm sure.

Display Table Function

Here is a somewhat fixed up function I made to display tables fancily. It draws out "cells" in which the table values are displayed, has the option to have a "title" for the table, with a configurable number of columns, column width, and colors for data values, title, and "frame". If no width is giv...

Re: Help With permSubstringTRigger.

I'll be honest, I don't really use complex triggers, because they weren't around when I was learning to make things happen. So, it is quite possible either that they are completely messed up, or just that the pattern and name argument positions are switched for some reason. Either way, I would recom...

Re: Help With permSubstringTRigger.

There is no way to have temp triggers work as parents or children, so you can stop looking now. That said, you can use complex temp triggers with multiple patterns to work in a similar way. The concept of an "AND" trigger means that all patterns have to match for it to work, and if the line delta va...

Re: Help With permSubstringTRigger.

You have two different problems in that example. The first is just that your patterns are wrong. You have +. instead of .+, which will make the difference between worthless and working. The second problem is that while contained within normal quotes, you need to escape the backslashes you use, or th...

Re: How to get the standard background of Geyser.Label

Labels don't have a "standard color" in a general sense. So if you want to return it to whatever color it had before you changed it to yellow, your code will have to know or in some other way "remember" what that color was, so it can set it.
