Re: Mudlet API requests

hmm... getMainConsoleWidth() does give me the result I want.... I never would have thought it would based on the documentation.

Thank you.

Re: Possible to hook into mapper rightclick menu?

I can.... (you assume that all the mapping scripts work the same way, they don't... we would all have to argee what the "correct" method for mapping is in order to build merge rooms into Mudlets Map) Example: I use roomID's 1-13 for any unmapped exit in a room. (why? you ask.... it allows exits to ...

Re: Mudlet API requests

getMainConsoleWidth() (if I understand it correctly) does not do what I want..... goal is to determine how big the main console should be not how wide it currently is. I know that the mud I play formats it's output(sends line breaks for every line), it is no more than 100 chars wide, mudlet seems to...

Re: Mudlet API requests

I found something that I think should be added:(if it's not there somewhere already.) getMainWindowFontSize() Ran into this while making my gui..... I need to resize the main window and add/resize my gui elements but without knowing what the main window font size is, I cannot determine how big the m...

Re: Possible to hook into mapper rightclick menu?

I can't come up with a use case for merging rooms with multiple exits. I would imagine that the majority of exits in both rooms would be the same though (if they really are the same room). So there should be no "collisions" where the same exit in each room leads to a different room. I can.... (you ...

Re: Possible to hook into mapper rightclick menu?

a script to merge rooms is going to be mud specific.... I like the idea of a merge option in the right click menu(on the map) but it should not do anything except tigger an event. (an event that we can make run our own script)

Re: Ascii Map mini console window

All good ideas. I made all the changes Vadi suggested and it did improve preformance considerably. Unfortunetly it is still slow. In order to make it usable I would need to do as chris just suggested and store an area in a lua table. Some of my earlier mappers used a nested Lua table to store rooms ...

Re: Storing Information

Likely it will throw an error (I have not used the db functions in over a year and not at home to try it myself). In order to "fix" that you would only need to check if results[1]==nil in the OvarGet function and return that case in whatever format you desire. If that doesn't work for you, let me kn...

Capturing Ascii map from a mud and adding it to your map.

I have been able to Capture an ascii map from the mud I play and add it to your mudlet map file. (This will be included in the mapping script I have posted.... whenever I update It.) This is what the ascii map looks like for the "The Two Towers".( minus the "map reset" and "*" echos) asciimap.png I...

Ascii Map mini console window

The Following code will display an ascii style map in a console window at the upper right corner of the main window. (Thought was it would be nice to be able to display it without setting the mapper into grid mode... so you can still edit the map in the mapper window) createMiniConsole( "ASCIIMAP", ...
