Re: Look and Feel

I actually started writing a mud snippet that would at least cover the essentials, although I keep getting sidetracked and haven't yet finished it. However this thread got me motivated again. After a few weeks of coding and testing, the snippet is now complete, and can be downloaded from here . It ...

Re: MXP

I already do. The advantage is that ATCP still needs special parsing on the client-side (plugins!) and with MXP (MXP-OOB) I can write to the client-side stored MXP-variable. And CMUD can directly display a MXP gauge for that variable. It works out-of-the-box, without additional plugins. Hmmm that's...

Re: MXP

Do any clients other than CMUD support that though? Not to my knowledge. It is still a fairly new addition and was added (on my request, btw) just before ATCP became widely accepted (on the client-front) an work on GMCP started. So now everybody is concentrating on that. But I still feel, it should ...

Re: MXP

version 1.2 added out-of-band transport over telnet subchannels. Do any clients other than CMUD support that though? If you want to transmit data out-of-band, there are plenty of other (simpler) protocols to do it. I really don't think MXP needs any more baggage, support for it among clients is alr...

Re: Look and Feel

Yep Okay I've uploaded them. You can get them from here: http://www.godwars2.org/download/mudlet/ The GW2_MXP.xml file in gw2_scripts.zip has the link stuff, but you need the GW2_GUI.xml for the ATCP stuff that activates the "fake" MXP, otherwise the mud won't send you the triggers - and for that t...

Not the latest ones. I can post them tonight if you want to have a look.

Re: MXP

Some muds also use mxp to send HP/EP clients (like using gmcp, no need to use a trigger to update status bars. just an mxp event) Yeah but it's in-band, so you need to send it with other text (otherwise you get blank lines scrolling up the screen) - muds typically send it with the prompt. It's easi...

Re: Look and Feel

I believe you can finish it fully though: http://forums.mudlet.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1974&start=30#p8478 Was that supposed to be a reply to my MXP comment on the other thread ? If so, the answer is that I did spend several hours trying everything I could think of, but I made no further progress, ...

Re: MXP

MXP has the "<SUPPORT>" tag to indicate which tags it supports, so there's no pressing need to implement them all. Personally there are only three MXP features I consider worth using - the <VERSION> tag, clickable links, and 24-bit colour. And even the colour isn't necessary if the client supports 2...

Re: Look and Feel

Apology for the spam but you're speaking of something similar to the mission statement behind Blowtorch for android . I think it's coming along pretty nice. Coupled with a nice tablet and maybe swype... I don't think so. BlowTorch is a nice client (I use it myself), but the interface is much like a...
