Feature request: Reload!

In working on a complex system, sometimes I goof or sometimes I just want to sort of start over from a state perspective. I'd really love a reload command/function, which dumps all the tempAlias/trigger/whatever, dumps the global lua context, and re-loads all the scripts/aliases/triggers. Right now ...

Re: Mudlet Mapper

I think the specifics of the storage "format" is a premature question here; in a new system, allowing the model to drive the controller is something of a mistake. When working on an existing system, we have to deal with the legacy data and wrap it in a model and we're just stuck with it, b...

Re: Mudlet 1.0.5(and Beyond) on the Mac

A new package is available; its the same version / code-wise as the previous version (1.0.5.3), but fixes a couple packaging issues. * The icon now has lots of resolutions, so it shouldn't be blurry for anyone anymore, and look pretty all the time. * Fixed a little issue which prevented it from laun...

Mudlet 1.0.5(and Beyond) on the Mac

I'm going to be maintaining a build of Mudlet for the mac, tracking changes continually as they're released, so the Mac app shouldn't be behind the Windows or Linux edition in the future. As of now though, this is still slightly experimental :) Any mac users who would like to help test it out are we...

Re: I suck at tables.

Oh, so the key has to be an un-quoted string, unless you do it as ["blah"] which is what you did originally. With this in mind, I went back to your original code-- and it all worked perfectly. As long as one used "echo" and not "print" :) for k,v in pairs(afflictionList...

Re: I suck at tables.

I -think- you just want:

Code: Select all

afflictionList = {
    "addiction" = 0,
    "..." = 0
}
You can make strings with double-square-brackets, but a single square bracket with a string inside, I have no idea what that would produce or if it produces anything at all.

Re: 1.0.5 for the Mac?

I *believe* I have lrexlib conquered, its just painful and very manual because its not at all doing things in nice-standard ways. So I have to run through the entire compile process twice, then manually merge the outputs into a fat binary (which I had to do for sqlite too, really), and then rename v...

Re: 1.0.5 for the Mac?

I'm -- sort of -- starting from scratch; its actually easier for me then to take the 'current' installer and upgrade it, as I'm not sure what's going on with the Dependencies pkg (as opposed to the normal Mac way of including such things directly in the .app bundle where possible). I have readline, ...

Re: 1.0.5 for the Mac?

I was gonna say: I -am- pretty familiar with Scintilla (at least the original and GTK ports), and didn't really think I 'felt' it in this app anymore :) Currently, I'm glaring at the various libraries and pre-requisites to get them into an i386+ppc universal binary (excluding x86_64). Which is tedio...
