Re: quickly creating a list from a trigger pattern

You could do the following (most Lua stuff still applies to Mudlet): function skAdd(s) string.gsub(s, "(%w+)", function(str) table.insert(skTargets, str) end) end See here for more info on strings. Edit: Forgot to mention, it's not strictly necessary to call tostring() on an object if all you're doi...

Re: setLabelClickCallback("mtar1", matt() )

As far as I know, it's not (directly) possible providing the click callback now works. A workaround would be to have functions for each label, with each function calling 'matt' with specific values as required. I.e, have a callback point to foo for one label and bar for another: function foo() matt(...

Re: setLabelClickCallback("mtar1", matt() )

Oops I meant within setLabelClickCallback itself, sorry. This is from the manual; " e.g. setLabelClickCallback( "compassNorthImage", "onClickGoNorth" ) ", where onClickGoNorth is a function. Most languages don't require brackets with function pointers, as the pointers themselves simply point to a pr...

Layering Miniconsoles

I've been attempting to layer miniconsoles for a 'chat' display using showWindow/hideWindow. For the most part, I think it should work however whenever one miniconsole is layered by another, even if it's hidden immediately, the first becomes invisible and unwritable. I've tried setting the alpha to ...

Re: setLabelClickCallback("mtar1", matt() )

Have you tried removing the brackets after 'matt' in either case?

Your function definitions are fine, however I don't think you want "return" - that'll just force the function to return that particular value and as far as I know, it wont be used.

Re: Segmentation Fault with Trigger Groups (Arch 64bit)

Thanks Heiko, all seems fine now.

Honestly I'm surprised how well things are going here. I used to program semi-professionally and don't think I ever worked as hard as everyone here seems to :P

Segmentation Fault with Trigger Groups (Arch 64bit)

Unsure if this has been reported before. Just recently downloaded and compiled the latest version from the git repo (I'm using QT 4). However when I try to create a trigger group, clicking on it in the list, attempting to save or even adding another trigger causes a seg. fault. I get the feeling thi...

Compilation on Linux (Arch x64) menu problems? 10pre3

Just posting this quickly, I've been trying to get mudlet to work on my 'fresh' install of Arch x64 - I have all the required libs, it will cmake, make and make install without issue (providing make install is done as root) and run 'fine'. But, I have this lovely screen which is somewhat different t...
