3.0.0-iota Show sound file names.

Been too busy to MUD much at all for the last few months but with Thanksgiving and a little time off I was able to get some play time in today. I was going over my settings for my favourite MUD trying to remember how I had things set up when I noticed something. If a trigger has a sound file associa...

Re: ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Mudlet3.0.1

I managed to get mudlet development branch compiled I think. I put the git link that was copied to clipboard when pressing the green clone button on the webpage in to the repository address of qt creator, then I put developent in the branch field. When I start the program Mudlet 3.0.1-dev is display...

Re: ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Mudlet3.0.1

I have libzip installed according to apt search libzip . libzip-dev/xenial,now 1.0.1-0ubuntu1 amd64 [installed] library for reading, creating, and modifying zip archives (dev...

Re: ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Mudlet3.0.1

I can reproduce the scripts disappearing across several different profiles. It seems if I use the search feature in the script editor (the button on the left side). Somewhere in the clicking between search results the scripts go missing.

ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Mudlet3.0.1

I recently updated to ubuntu 16.04 LTS from 14.04 LTS. In doing so the 3.0.0-delta copy of mudlet I was running which I got from the installer, stopped working (Not able to launch any more). I tried my hand at compiling from git (Development) and got a compile with no errors that i could see at firs...

Lua For Beginners (coding tutorial link)

I hope it's ok if i post this here. I'm not affiliated with the site in anyway shape of form. Please delete the post if it's not acceptable. I was looking for some information on my daughters schools website today and stumbled across a section they have added titled Coding Dojo. I guess the county i...

Re: playSoundFile() issues

Sorry to bump such an old thread but it was the solution to me getting sound files to work on 3.0.0-delta. I was wondering if you had issues with lag while the file was playing Vadi? What I mean by lag is the client completely freezes while the sound file is playing. I've had to edit the sound files...

Re: Help with elseif in trigger

I don't give up easily. it seems somewhere I saw the toNumber() function used with a capital N so when I was trying to use that to make the string a number it wasn't working right. I ended up figuring out it should be tonumber() all lowercase and now everything seems to work fine. I am sure I will h...

Help with elseif in trigger

Hi I am loving Mudlet a lot but will even more once I get more familiar with things I know. I come from a zMUD and cMUD background, but also have a bit of Lua experience. The MUD I play on has a lot of parties. The party formation lines up in a sort of 3x3 grid. I mainly play a healer and am trying ...
