Re: Can we take another shot at TTS support for Mudlet 3 [Yeah we can!]

Yeah that mis-naming is entirely down to the absence of platform specific code, I have the following lined up for the reporting of the key-grab which should solve some of that: QString KeyUnit::getKeyName(int keyCode, int modifierCode) { QString name; /* Qt::NoModifier 0x00000000 No modifier key is ...

Re: Can we take another shot at TTS support for Mudlet 3 [Yeah we can!]

Re, last but one post, <ALT>+<UpArrow> and <ALT>+<DownArrow> will need to be <ALT>+<KeyPad>+<UpArrow> and <ALT>+<KeyPad>+<DownArrow> on macOs (as the arrow keys are part of the keypad there) and also <ALT> may not be called "Alt" on the macOs either... :geek: Furthermore - it will be necessary to ch...

Re: Can we take another shot at TTS support for Mudlet 3 [Yeah we can!]

Having recently gotten bitten when trying to clean-up the key-bindings code we really need to review the short-cuts we have defined and list them somewhere in one place (Wiki page anyone) and identify when they are functional - such a list will have to take account the variations in modifiers on the...

Re: Generic Mapping Script

It has been noted on Discord recently that there is no way to write login scripts because there is no way for the lua sub-system to find out what character name and password is set on the "Connection preferences" dialogue/form. This is something that I am meaning to get around to sorting out so that...

Re: Translate Mudlet into your language!

Just in case it isn't clear, the Mudlet application is (supposed) to have used language corresponding to the en-US locale , in the past - but sometimes, I may have personally used British words like "Licence" or "Colour" in the existing strings {instead of License" or "Color"} without realising it...

Re: Most important texts for translation?

When you say "Lua Function descriptions and API" do you mean the Wiki describing them or the actual in-game "commands"? I think the former will be essential if we want non-English users to make much headway with anything other than just "playing" Mudlet; after all, the powerful (when it is working a...

 Well I can't take too much praise - as I probably caused the problem in the first place... ;)

Re: Mudlet and FreeBSD

Must confess I'm stalled on that with too much to do elsewhere - however the source will build now with the clang compiler and libraries (including development ones as appropriate) on the FreeBSD-11.1-RELEASE platform - so if you want to take a look install Qt Creator and git and then clone the main...

Re: Mudlet Discord server

Ok, I wanted to hint to ItsTheFae (is it?) or whoever is tweaking things here that we might want to adjust the "Join Discord" object on here.

Oh, perhaps we also need to add at least the icon on the "About Dialog" Discord web link (actually an invite IIRC)...

Re: Mudlet Discord server

One thing, Discord is a bit anally retentive strict about their product branding - so we probably want to (scale down and) insert their logo at the top of the page (and change the existing text and user count to just plain, bold, black alongside or underneath ) these are all on the https://discordap...
