Re: favMenu - Add Favorite rooms to Automatically sorted menu

Don't forget, you can store the details in the map itself (using setMapUserData and related functions)...

Re: Map with the geyser template

The map needs to know the room number where the player is located (a valid position ) if you have a map system installed for the MUD you may need to issue a command, such as look so that the details of your current location is sent from the Server - if the MUD is using GMCP then the location details...

Re: Connection Hang

That is an unusual Port Number choice as 6666-6669 are the official Port numbers used by Internet Relay Chat (IRC) servers; see. e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_T ... rt_numbers ...

Re: Multi-Play Communications

You will want to look at the event system and specifically the raiseGlobalEvent(...) function that is specifically designed to send the event (the first argument, a string) and all the other arguments {and at the end the name of the profile that raised the event!} through the event system to all the...

Re: Returning Aardwolf player after 10 years, previously used zmud.

Ah, yes, you are right - I can see in the code that it deliberately bails out if a room is not selected - so indeed it should be greyed out in that situation (or made so it will act on the current player room)...

Flagged as https://github.com/Mudlet/Mudlet/issues/2377 .

Re: Returning Aardwolf player after 10 years, previously used zmud.

If no room is selected then controls act on the current or player room - the one with the gross red highlight. Note that if a room is selected it will be drawn with an orange selection colour instead - and the information text on the top of the 2D map gains an orange tint. The line that reports a ro...

Re: KDE using included theme "Breeze Dark" results in some elements being nearly impossible to read, how to fix?

I am in the same boat (I'm using KDE on both Linux and FreeBSD - and I am also experimenting playing with Kvantum {which is also dark by default}) and it is on my short-list to nuke all the colouring on those widgets so that whatever theme the user/desktop manager/OS supplies gets used. The trouble ...

The magic combination you are looking for is to hold down CTRL+ALT and move the mouse... (not sure what the MacOS combination is - they are different in their keyboard modifiers!) You can also zoom-out and then zoom back in again with the (vertical) mouse scroll wheel (some of us have more than one ...

Re: Is there a way to indicate on the map, that a direction leads to another zone?

If an exit leads to another area there already will be a short exit line in the corresponding direction with an arrowhead in the colour of the destination room - see the yellow circled exit in the first image below: on the 2D map (and a green offset room with a shrunken top panel. Blimey - that Wikipedia article explains it:

"...MUD1 ran under the name British Legends until late 1999 and was retired along with other software during CompuServe's Y2K cleanup efforts..."
