so i found a workaround. I enabled the show menu bar in settings before hitting map and when it disappeared, I used the menu bar to pull up the settings. Then i saved and now it's staying up

Err what I really want to do is to make that toolbar reappear somehow so i can access my aliases and triggers and whatnot.

I found the issue. To resolve, go into settings and set the Server Data Encoding to ISO 8559-1 in the General tab
Then do a search on: ,"§"
And replace it with: ,string.char(167)

This string should only appear in two triggers: roomexits and multipleRoomExits.
