table.sort doesn't work with keyed tables, just ones with sequential numerical indices. Lua does not guarantee the order of keyed tables, so there's some extra work required to get that sort of thing working. To add an element to a table at a specific key, you just reference the key directly. So...

Unfortunately when using the appimage there is a known issue with sound triggers. The gstreamer libraries which are required to get that working in linux. I'm not 100% on the details but I believe the issue is with the packager used to gather the libraries and make the appimage. I know there's a git...

You should probably file an issue on github to discuss if this is a bug or not, but when you create a new trigger it is added to the end of the list of triggers to test the line against. That being said, rather than creating triggers based on other triggers, I think a trigger chain is probably a bet...
