Re: Generic Mapping Script

Okay, thank you for responding to my video. I just have a list of things I found out as a result of this, I will add to it as I find more. So, I found out that my character was set to = 50 while the recall was set to 8. I tried using set Character <name> again at ID 8, but the lua display didn't cha...

Re: Generic Mapping Script

Do you have a email, So i can send a 18-min video showing what happens? BTW, all my frustration isn't on you, just on how the script behaves. EDIT 1: Here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teJhlhP4nCY&feature=youtu.be EDIT 2: using the sense command, I can go to a entity, and it shows which...

Re: Generic Mapping Script

The thing that bugs me is that if I end up in the same area, the script doesn't seem to think it's been here before and always makes a new duplicate room, and I can't see. However, I have learned to edit BOTH room's exits to make it work due to your advice, thank you!

Re: Generic Mapping Script

How do I delete incorrect map data? I want to be able to start over if I make mistakes. EDIT: I set the recall place, but now when I recall, map freezes and doesn't change when I move. EDIT 2: https://gyazo.com/415e61652c0e1d67e80b1d5ad2729b59 EDIT 3: Set recall does nothing now, it set the room the...

Re: Generic Mapping Script

Here's the log for me following a mob. Also, is capturing the relevant direction just in the code, or do I have to get a beginning of substring from the MUD? EDIT: How does adding alias exactly work? Do I have to add code to every alias like I did the triggers? Or will the pattern and command be eno...

https://gyazo.com/c5edb81d581bb34e4211bb6acafa4d68 I wanted to show you my triggers so I can get correctional advice on them and also advice on where to put them. I'm not sure where I should put some of these triggers.\ EDIT: Here's another log of me using the ship to three different planets (so far...

Re: Generic Mapping Script

The compass is just to tell you what directions you can go in. If you look in the gif, it's colored differently for the directions. Yellow means you can go that direction. the U/D is technically another compass, but it's up/down. Gray means no-go, can't go. Sometimes there's a yellow direction, but ...

Re: Generic Mapping Script

Here's a short log file from my MUD, which is dbeMUD, which was modified from CircleMUD 3.0. Is this a fitting example? EDIT: A clip of another short clip of me using 'Sense' and then just using recall and activating a failed move. https://gyazo.com/37fb66cea9562a1ae1d5068c1466113d Log session start...
