No line breaks in logs

Post by Xion »

Hello, I have been using Mudlet for a while to play Avalon, and it works well, with the exception of creating readable logs.

The file a log creates has no line breaks in it. It is just an enormous block of text, and quite difficult to read through. I am using Mudlet 2.1, and the file-folder icon to log MUD output to a file. If there is a way to make the log have line breaks like the main display screen does, that would help me a lot. When I am playing, the line breaks are perfectly fine, it is just in the logs that they are absent.

While I'm asking questions, is there a way to include my input text in the log as well? That is less important but would be helpful to know also.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Mudlet does create linebreaks - what are you using to view the file? Try using Wordpad instead of Notepad - Notepad is very basic and doesn't recognise all types of linebreaks.

Thank you, that fixed the problem! So much nicer to be able to read my logs now.
