scrambled debug output

Post by Caled »

Has anyone seen the debug window looking like the attached screenshot?

As you can see, the text is scrambled, but if I go back through scrollback then the new text is unscrambled. But if I exit the scrollback, it changes to scrambled.

Is that a replacement of every other character by a space/space-like character? Which version are you using?

I've seen this before. Selecting an alternative font fixes it, although that said, I have never seen it in the main window like this; only in the error console.

@fetaera - um, that IS the error console the OP was talking about...! :(

Can either of you reproduce it in a consistent way, and which OS, version of OS and Mudlet, and fonts are involved?

I blame early morning! :D

Yes, it is the error console. Confirmed by me, on Linux (Debian Sid, Jessie, #! and Gentoo) and using 'Consolata' and 'Terminus'. Those are the only fonts I bothered to include in my build, sorry.

For me, the latest public build, 2.1, for windows (8). but I can't reproduce it reliably. Sometimes it just happens. I restart mudlet, and it may be fixed. If not, I restart again. My font is bitstream vera sans mono.

For what it's worth, changing font does nothing, and today this has persisted through 6 restarts so far.
Windows 8.1
Bitstream sans vera
Courier new
Consolas
Fixedsys
